Sherona Harris is a director, dancer, and choreographer of SherOnMyPraise Dance Ministry. She serves with a genuine servant’s heart and is deeply dedicated to advancing the work of the Lord through the ministry of dance.
She is a faithful member of Fresh Start Church under the leadership of Pastor Shamar and Lady Vanika Lewis.
With over 25 years of ministry experience, Sherona is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and developing the next generation of worshippers. She currently teaches dance with Youth Utilizing Power and Praise Organization and has previously directed and choreographed for Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Redwood City’s Little Lytes of Zion Dance Ministry (2017–2020). From 2009 to 2012, she served as overseer of the Hands of Praise and Jr. Hands of Praise Dance Ministries.
Sherona has also instructed praise dance at the California State Baptist Youth and Young Adult Convention, a statewide gathering attended annually by 300–400 youth and young adults across various locations.
Her dance training includes ballet, modern, hip hop, and jazz. At the age of 16, she was introduced to the ministry of dance, and five years later, she recognized it as her divine calling.
In 2011 and 2017, Sherona had the honor of ministering in Ghana, West Africa, where she danced during three of five nightly revival services. These experiences profoundly shaped her ministry and strengthened her desire to serve globally.
Her mission is to spread the Gospel through dance worldwide — reaching the lost, uplifting the sick, and bringing healing to the wounded and brokenhearted. Her prayer is that through the power of the Holy Spirit, souls are saved and lives are transformed.
