Grant Drum Line

Founded in 2009 and directed by James “Mr. V” Van Buren, the Grant Drum Line is a high-energy ensemble from Sacramento, California, known for its Hip-Hop and HBCU-inspired style. Comprised primarily of talented high school students from the Del Paso Heights community, the group’s mission is to use music, discipline, and travel to inspire leadership and life-changing opportunities. The Grant Drum Line has performed around the world—including Japan, London, Paris, South Africa, and Ireland—and has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! while sharing stages with artists such as Sheila E., Johnny Gill, and Yolanda Adams.
